The founder of our company was in the U.S. Navy in the 1990s performing nuclear chemistry and radiological controls, so when you go to the start of our inspection experience, in Orlando, Florida, the services provided were originally provided for insurance companies and environmental engineering firms. It wasn’t only until later that the company started providing full home inspection services. The company has great expertise on environmental issues like mold, asbestos, lead paint, radon, and other environmental concerns common in residential settings. In addition to being able to test for these items our company also writes up remediation protocols so that the homeowner knows exactly how to fix the problem if one is discovered, and then another round of testing is always recommended in order to prove that the problem has been properly fixed.

Let’s say you go to the doctor, and you’ve been feeling a little sluggish, and the doctor says let’s do your bloodwork. First, you do have a choice, do you want to get your blood work done, and do you want to pay for it. It may come back totally normal and that’s great. It may come back with high cholesterol, and the doctor says exercise, eat better, and take this pill. What do you think the doctor will recommend in three months? Of course, a retest of cholesterol levels.

It’s the same thing in the environmental world, test to discover if there’s a problem, write a protocol to remediate the problem, and test after the remediation to ensure the remediation successful.
